Devils Ivy - Epipremnun Aureum

One of the best beginner houseplants! The nickname Devils Ivy was thought to stem from how difficult it is to kill these plants. These plants are very forgiving to neglect, low light, and periods of drought. They grow long vines very quickly. Pruning Pothos is recommended when it becomes unruly. The stem cuttings from pruning can be used to propagate new plants. Simply place the cuttings in the water and once the roots are about an inch long they can be planted in soil. You can use the propagations to make the mother plant appear more full or create a new plant entirely. Regular pruning also helps to keep the vines out of reach as this plant is toxic. There are many types of pothos but the plants in my collection are the Neon Pothos, Queen Marble Pothos, and the classic Pothos.
