Peacelily - Spathiphyllum SP

The quintessential house plant. Every time I walk into a mall, airport, or library I can usually spot at least one Peace Lily. This is because of how low maintenance the plant is. It tolerates low to bright indirect light but has been known to survive with just artificial light. They require moderate watering and medium humidity. These plants are very good at communicating when it needs water as the leaves will drop dramatically. To avoid drooping it is best to water when the first inch of soil is dry. In addition to the easy care, they produce beautiful white flowers twice a year. They are native to tropical parts of Southeast Asia and the Americas. They are mildly toxic if ingested. Peace Lilies are best propagated through division.
