Mother of Millions - Bryophyllum Daigremontianum

This plant earns its name from its unusual way of propagation. The margins of the leaves produce dozens of baby plants. As these baby plants mature they will begin to grow roots. You can easily pluck off these plants and then make an entirely new Mother of Millions. While horticulturalists love this feature as it means our plant collection multiplies exponentially, it can cause issues when in the wild. More accurately, this plant is considered invasive in many regions for how easily it can take over gardens. These offsets do fall off the plant easily and are toxic to animals so careful care is needed. If you do grow this plant outdoors be sure to put it in a planter to help prevent its takeover. These plants have low water needs with low humidity. They are native to Madagascar and because of this love the full sun.
