Heart Leaf Philodendron - Philodenron Hederaceum

A plant for sweethearts - literally. It was given its nickname from its cute heart-shaped leaves. An extremely low-maintenance plant, perfect for any self-proclaimed plant murders. This plant will tolerate any light from low to bright indirect. This plant requires moderate watering with medium humidity. It is also very forgiving to neglect. This plant also grows very fast, so regular prunings help keep the plant manageable. You can use your prunings to propagate new plants easily by placing them in water. Once the roots on your propagation reach about an inch long you can plant them with the mother plant to increase fullness or on their own as a new plant. The Heart Leaf Philodendron likes to both climb and trail. The vines can grow exceptionally long, the longest vine on mine is over 11 feet! However, you will need to keep these vines out of reach because they are toxic to ingest for pets and people.
