Arrow Head Plant - Syngonium Podophyllum

This plant earns its name from its larger arrowhead-shaped leaves, which become more prominent as the plant matures. A great plant for beginners, because it will tolerate some neglect. You should allow the soil to dry completely between waterings as they are prone to root rot. They do like humidity which is best maintained with misting or humidifiers. These plants do best in bright but indirect light but will tolerate lower light. If the plant has variegated leaves then brighter light is required to maintain that feature. At first, the plant normally trails but as it matures it will also climb. Arrowhead plants are native to tropical and subtropical regions of Central and South America. In the wild, these plants are often found in semi-aquatic areas. Because of this, they propagate very well via stem cuttings. They are toxic to ingest so keep them away from pets and people.
